Haley R. and Shea S.

When people learn about the magical world of Harry Potter, people wish they were a witch or wizard. A lot of people take tests to determine what Hogwarts house they would be sorted into, what their patronus is, and what type of wand they have. Some people buy wands and other Harry Potter merchandise, but they can get expensive. If you are a Harry Potter fan but you don’t want to spend money on merchandise, we have some DIY’s you might like!

To use spells as a witch or wizard, you need your wand. Your wand is a perfect fit for you. Here is a way to make customized wands.

Skewers or Chopsticks

  1. Warm your hot glue gun.
  2. Use the hot glue to make designs near the bottom of the skewer/chopstick. (This will be the wand’s handle)
  3. Let the hot glue harden.
  4. Paint the wand colors of your choice.
  5. Let paint dry.

Now you can have your very own customized wand!
