Haunted Trails

Aubrey K., Event Writer

The Haunted Trail is the one event, including Halloween and scary things, that everybody can attend. This is great because if you have little kids or kids that are scared you can walk the less scary trail. If you are really in for a thrill you should take the more scary trail. Any 6th graders that want to be in the Haunted Trail can be. Scenes are made by parents and children, or kids can join scenes with their friends.

If a child has a younger sister or brother their sibling can be in the scene with them. The Haunted Trail is a lot of work, and it is a lot of fun for the 6th graders, the parents, and the all the people that walk through the trail. I did an interview with my fellow classmates Sophia M. and Shea S.

Question: How long did it take to set up the whole trail?

Sophia: It took about 90 minutes.

Question: Where is the Haunted Trail?

Shea: This year the Haunted trail is inside at Woodbury Heights Elementary School. In a lot of the past years it has been outside.

Question: Is it hard to come up with an idea for a scene?

Sophia: It is hard to come up with an idea if you have a budget financially.

Haunted trails aren’t new, the first haunted trail was recorded in 1915. The scariest haunted house of 2017  was a giant walk-through attraction located in the former Georgia Antique Center in the outskirts of Atlanta.

As you can see people put a lot of work into this project for fun and entertainment before Halloween. The meeting for the parents is on October 4 this year, so the parents can discuss what the children are doing for the scenes and what the kids will wear for their costumes. To walk through the haunted trail you need to buy a ticket. Be sure to come visit us at the haunted trail this year, it will happen on October 20, 2018. We assure you that you will have a great time, be ready for a thrill.
